What is Counselling?
There are many forms of therapeutic support available and counselling is known for being a talking therapy. Counselling aims to offer a safe and confidential space where emotional issues and difficulties in life can be worked through with a qualified counsellor or therapist who will support you in a non-judgemental and empathic way.
The right time for counselling is when you feel ready to explore the possibility of it and it's a process that goes at your own pace and depth.

Counsellors can offer various ways of working with their clients and it's important to find someone you feel comfortable with and who's able to meet your therapeutic needs. To see if working with me at Kairos Counselling feels right for you, a 20 minute consultation can be arranged, free of charge.

Counselling is not suitable for those experiencing a mental health crisis because this initially needs the right support from the right people.
Counselling becomes an option once the crisis has been stabilised.
